About Talia Dahms, L.Ac., MS, Dipl.OM
Talia Dahms, L.Ac., MS, Dipl.OM is a licensed acupuncturist in Encinitas, CA. She graduated summa cum laude from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, where she earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). A San Diego native, she grew up playing competitively in softball and volleyball. As an undergraduate student, she spent a semester abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, after which she completed a BA in French Language and Literature and minored in Spanish. This led to several years of international work in Costa Rica, Japan, and Germany. She then began her graduate studies at PCOM with a focus in integrative pain management and orthopedic conditions. Over the past 10 years, her dedication to patient care, unwavering commitment to excellence, and compassionate nature have made her a trusted source for care in her community and beyond. She has successfully treated a diverse range of patients, from those seeking relief from chronic pain to individuals looking to reduce the impact stress has on their health. Her treatment plans are tailored to each individual, addressing their unique needs and promoting balance in their lives.
Talia follows up-to-date scientific research on acupuncture and clinical guidelines to ensure patients receive the safest, most effective, and evidence-based treatments. She works as part of an integrative team with physicians, physical therapists, and other practitioners to reach a patient’s therapeutic goals. When approaching treatment, she combines orthopedic acupuncture, Neuropuncture, traditional Chinese medicine principles, and electro-acupuncture.
She is licensed to practice acupuncture by the California Acupuncture Board and is a NCCAOM National Board-Certified Acupuncturist and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. She currently practices in Encinitas, CA where she lives with her husband and three children. She also is a part of the integrative care team at the Healthy Living Center at Sharp Coronado Hospital and is currently a graduate researcher in molecular biology/physiology at California State University San Marcos.
